Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT)

Lymph Drainage Therapy (LDT) is gentle hands-on manual therapy using subtle techniques to detects a specific rhythm and direction of the lymph flow throughout the body.  LDT helps re-circulate the lymphatic flow, activate fluid circulation and stimulate the functioning of the immune and parasympathetic nervous systems. The lymph supports systems in the body including the immune, digestive, detoxification and the nervous system.  Proper functioning is crucial to our body’s ability to drain stagnant fluids, detoxify, regenerate tissue, filter out toxins and foreign substances, and maintain a healthy immune system.

Visceral  Manipulation (VM)

Visceral Manipulation is a gentle hands-on manual therapy that works with the connective tissue of the viscera (organs) to detect patterns of tension or lesions that form through the fascial network deep within the body.  When an organ is no longer free to move, the body is forced to compensate.  These fixed, abnormal points of tension cause all kinds of functional and structural problems throughout the body including musculoskeletal, vascular, nervous, urogenital, respiratory, digestive and lymphatic dysfunction.

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release uses subtle stretching and pressure on the skin and connective tissue (fascia) to unwind and release restrictions that limit range of motion, effect posture and cause pain. Combining a variety of different teachings, I’ve developed myofascial techniques that are very effective without causing more pain. The purpose is to relieve pain and release restrictions giving the body more freedom. This gentle technique is especially helpful with pre and post surgical trauma, scars (old and new), cosmetic scaring, old injury trauma and range of motion restriction.

CranioSacral Therapy (CST)

Is a gentle hands-on manual therapy that releases tissue tension in the bones, membranes, and fluid of the CST system. The CST extends from bones of the skull, face and mouth (cranium) to the tailbone (sacrum). These bones move in a rhythm to allow for proper flow of fluids throughout.  Any restrictions in this very sensitive system can impact the central nervous system, cause motor, sensory and neurological dysfunctions as well as a wide range of conditions such as migraine headaches, chronic neck and back pain, TMJ, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, connective tissue disorders, bowel disorders, stress, trauma and more.

Pediatric CranioSacral Therapy

The application of CST on infants and children is an even lighter touch with hand adaptation to their small bodies. Conditions that may be avoided or improved by treating newborns, infants and children include the following: ear infections (including ear tubes), colic, sinusitis, hearing problems, attention and behavioral issues, torticollis, head shape and skull-bone override, vomiting, motor problems, seizures, down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy, scoliosis, children with shunts, spasticity, dyslexia and many others.

Reiki

Reiki, meaning “Universal life force energy,” is an ancient Eastern healing art. Reiki is a safe, non-invasive form of hands-on healing that facilitates the body’s own ability to balance itself. Many people feel a pleasant sensation of warmth or gentle sense of rest when receiving Reiki energy. The overall effect for the receiver is a sense of peacefulness and renewal. Reiki can be an effective relaxation tool for anyone facing medical or emotional challenges.

Transformational Kinesiology (TK)

Transformational Kinesiology (TK) is a holistic energy balancing method to assist individuals in integrating and expanding emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. TK is designed to help individuals access their inner knowledge using manual muscle testing as a response indicator to identify thought patterns, limiting belief systems and energy blockages which inhibit individuals from reaching their full empowerment. This method was developed by Grethe Fremming and Rolf Havsboel, founders of the Polaris Center in Denmark. TK combines the art of muscle response testing with the science of subtle energies.

Touch for Health (TFH)

Touch for Health was created by John F. Thie, D.C. Touch for Health is a proven whole body approach that restores our natural energy pathways using acupressure, touch and massage to improve postural balance, reduce physical pain, reduce mental pain and tension.

Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K) & Brain Gym

Educational Kinesiology (Edu-K) system is a method that uses movement as a way to enhance learning. This method was developed by Dr. Paul Dennison. The movements, called Brain Gym, are a sequence of movements to connect the whole-brain and body as one unit, enhancing the body’s ability to learn and function.
